64 Units. Mixed Use. Senior affordable and retail.
The perfect example of how smart design can create big solutions on a tiny urban infill lot. On a compact lot of only 3/4 of an acre, this transit-oriented project provides 64 units of modern, affordable senior housing and 5,750 square feet of retail located steps from the Lake Street Midtown Light Rail Station in Minneapolis.
Using height to its advantage, Lake Street Station rises 5 stories above Lake Street with prime retail frontage along the busy avenue and a new public plaza. A private, elevated deck area improves the connectivity with the light rail station, Lake Street, and the retail uses, allowing for a truly dynamic, transit-oriented standard of living. Design considerations focused on accommodating a wide variety of users while creating a marquee presence with an affordable housing budget.
